Trina Carroll-Houk
Spiritual Teacher, Counselor, & Author
Trina specializes in mindfulness in her practice, Breaking Free Boundaries. She teaches clients and groups how to overcome life's challenges by helping them change their relationship with their mind. Clients learn how to discover their true identity, and how to reclaim their rightful authority over their lives.
Trina uses inner and outer boundaries to quiet the mind, i.e., the voice of fear & doubt. In this way, they can overcome obstacles such as negative thoughts, and emotional reactions by recognizing, neutralizing, and moving beyond false beliefs that hold them back from living an authentic, peaceful, and abundant life. This is how we learn how to interrupt these old negative thought patterns, challenging emotions, and reactive behavior that limit life regardless of the challenges we face. As a result, we experience more clarity, purpose, and joy.
Trina has written a book, an online course, as well as many blogs used as instructional tools. Trina has a private practice at the Anona Counseling Center in Largo, FL where she offers individual and group sessions.

I believe...
- arrow_right ...that there is not one method that fits all, and I tailor my approach to my client's individual needs.
- arrow_right ...that while my worldview is Christian, I will respect my non-Christian client's beliefs and worldviews and never impose mine.
- arrow_right ...that parents are the most powerful tool for healing their children. It is my aim to equip and empower parents with therapeutic parenting skills. I always incorporate parents into my sessions with children.
- arrow_right ...that our loss of identity causes the pain, turmoil and maladaptive behavior we experience. In discovering who we are created to be, and befriending all the parts within us, we can heal and become free.
- arrow_right ...that we are called to give back. 100% of counseling fees and donations go towards operating costs and to support other non-profits organizations and individuals that need a helping hand.
